Are you doing a last minute research paper for your class? Do you need ideas for research paper topic? Need help finding resources on your topic?
Did you know that the Library has many research guides on a variety of topics ?
For example, if celebrating Earth Day last week strengthened your interest in the environment, you could choose environment as a general topic for your research paper and then narrow your focus on a specific issue within environment.
To help you narrow your focus and find resources, you can look at the research guide on Environment. The TCC Library research guide on the environment is a great, one-stop source for information about the environment. The guide also has access to a citation guide and access to the Library’s virtual reference service.
In the research guide, two especially interesting databases can help with environmental issues. GreenFILE offers nearly 385,000 items about global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling.

Topics discussed at ScienceDirect include energy, environmental science, ecology, global change, and waste management.

The research guide can also connect you with a podcast about living a green lifestyle, provide news from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and has links to environmental websites about energy and about global warming.

To access the environmental research guide, click on the “Research Guides” yellow tab at the TCC Library home page ( http://library.tulsacc.edu ), click  on the “By Subject” link, and jump to the environment.
