Let your imagination run wild!

Let your imagination run wild
August.  You’re still on vacation from TCC for 2/3rd of the month.  It’s too hot to travel.  It’s the official celebration of about a dozen foods--including celery, catfish, goat cheese, and toasted marshmallows.  It’s a great time to chill out and let your imagination run wild at the TCC Library website.

Using Academic Search Premier (a large, multi-disciplinary electronic databases from EBSCOHost) discover anything you could want to know about catfish, a Psychology Today article about a classic test of self-control involving toasted marshmallows, and more than 50 recipes using goat cheese (mostly from Vegetarian Times).

Visit amazing museums in Boston, New York, Los Angeles, London, or Berlin while staying in the cool of your air-conditioned home or apartment by choosing from 1.6 million images of art and architecture at ARTStor.

Members of Congress are home from Washington, holding townhall meetings.  Visit one of the issues-based databases (CQ Researcher, Issues & Controversies, or Points of View Reference Center), take a quick look at one of the hot issues facing Congress (e.g. immigration, the budget), go to a townhall meeting, and quiz your Congressman or Senator about his stand on the issues.

Use the yellow Article Databases tab at the Library homepage (then click on the A to Z Databases link) to access any of these resources.
